1. A state name pops up big on the map, then slips to the top-right corner — that's your target.
2. Tap that state on the map. There's no countdown — the clock at the top only shows how long you've been playing.
3. Wrong tap = that state flashes red, but the question stays — keep trying. Miss 3 times on one question and the right state starts blinking on and off (the rescue light). Tap it and you still get it right!
4. The Hint button is separate from the rescue light: it pulses the right state 3 times. Hover over the Hint button in the game to see exactly what it does. Hints are limited!
5. Really stuck? Skip / New Question moves you on (costs 1 heart). You can also Pause anytime and Resume when you're ready.
⭐ Every state you find fills in with its own piece of the US flag — red & white stripes in the east, the blue star field in the north-west. The pieces join up as you play, and when the game ends the whole map becomes the Stars & Stripes.
6. Want a longer game? Tap the Question button at the top of the game anytime to increase your questions — add 10 more, jump to 30 or 50, or go ∞ Full Flag and play until all 50 states fill the flag.
🪙 Coins & Shop: Every correct answer earns coins — +50 coins on a first try, +30 coins after a miss. Spend them in the 🛒 Shop at the top: Hint 100 · Extra Life 500 · Streak Freeze 1,000 · Crown Badge 2,000. Each shop card explains exactly what its item does before you buy.
🏆 Leaderboard: Tap View Leaderboard at the top-right of the start screen to see the Top 3 champions and the full Top 10. Want your name up there? Join with the name you play with — we'll remember it for this visit, and as your points & coins grow, your name shows on the board too.
🎓 Classroom Mode: A pressure-free mode for teachers, classes and groups. Turn it ON from the start screen and hints become unlimited, hearts never run out (no game over), so the whole class can answer together on one screen or projector and just learn the states. Playing solo for score? Leave it OFF.
← Back: Mid-game, tap ← Back at the top-left of the game (or in the Pause screen) to leave the quiz and return to the start screen — pick a new round length or difficulty and play again.
